The drug is mesalamine. Also known as Lialda. It's often used to treat ulcerative colitis. As it turns out, it can curb fungal spread. I thought this is interesting for us, since fungal and/or candida infections can and often do occur after taking antibiotics for a prolonged period of time. No problem! I think it should be a relatively safe drug but just be sure to read more about it before trying it!
