It's well documented in history, that syphilis could cause all manner of awful neurological manifestations, along with even psychiatric ones. It's rumored to be the cause of some leaders desires for conquest and their tempers. Lyme (Borrelia spp) is a cousin to syphilis and does the same, sadly. It's pretty well documented that all manner of manifestations can occur. From anxiety and depression, to OCD and even what appears to be like bipolar and schizophrenia sadly. It's a horrible thing and I was horrified when I read of lyme rage incidents where sufferers sadly ended their lives or harmed other people as well as themselves. All because of a twisted infection in their brain that the CDC refuses to acknowledge as bordering commonplace. Bartonella is also guilty of doing this. If you've frequented the forums enough, you'll have probably heard and will hear about lyme rage. I have read horrible stories of such on facebook groups as well. It's so tragic. There's help out there and you're not alone if you're struggling in this way. Here's a brief video on the matter. PANDAS is another thing that lyme and co can cause unfortunately. Which is worth looking into. Medications can help manage symptoms, and so can therapy for some. Find something that works for you. I hope that if you're here, you'll get the support you need and deserve as lyme can be a lonely place - all chronic illness is sadly and not everyone understands. I hope that you'll find you are understood here though.
